It did not work with my classic iPod. This is not for all iPods. The description should be more specific and let potential consumers know EXACTLY what version of iPod this remote is compatible with.
The only problem is that it does Not work on all IPODs. This is excellent.I have it mounted on the handlebar of my motorcycle so I can change channels, lower or raise the volume and even turn the IPOD off without taking my eyes off the road. It requires the little port next to the headphone jack, which the newer IPODs din't have/I looked all over until I finally found this through Amazon.
Too bad because this device is exactly what I need otherwise. I unfortunately did not read the unfavorable reviews. This device requires you to order another item, a docking connector in order for it to function. It does not say this in the description. A complete ripoff.
This product is only for ipod 4 and 3 NOT FOR ALL IPODS. Product description is misleading.
Naively I bought and had it sent to me in Rio de Janeiro, where I was sadly frustrated, as it wouldn't fit my ipod Classic 120GB. Thanks Griffin. It is sold as an accessory for iPod. Thus, I have now a piece of nothingness.
